What song are you listening to right now

An excellent deconstructed bubblegum song - take a catchy singalong chorus, add some R-rated lyrics and a dozen layers of noise, speed it up a bit, and there you have it. I could totally see The Archies or the Ohio Express doing a "straight" version of this song back in the day.

BTW, this is the kind of song the Ramones should have been writing in the 1980s if they'd remained relevant and cool and not become the Grateful Dead of punk rock.

I remember this one, it was a Shaun Cassidy song and you're right, it does sound like a Ramones song.

I always felt like Sha-Na-Na's version of At the Hop live at Woodstock could be considered a punk song of this very nature for the same reason
