True exchange I had with my five year old daughter yesterday:

Her: Daddy, what kind of music is this?
Me: Honey, this is Dream Theater. It's called Prog Rock.
Her: Daddy. Your music. Is. Awesome!

I figured out after the second listen when my girls asked for the "fast part" they were mesmerized by the Moog. Going to have to introduce them to 70s-era Pink Floyd and some Emerson, Lake, and Palmer in the future.

Well done! My own 5 year old daughter has seemed to enjoy some Moody Blues and Genesis from that era, but I suspect what she really likes is my own "theatricality" when I'm encouraging here to enjoy some of the High-Prog classics.
