I catch a lot of flack for this but Poison is one of my favorite bands, as I think I've mentioned on here. Sure, they started out pretty gimmicky with all of the glam stuff, but I think the songs for the most part have always been pretty solid and the catalog proves to be pretty deep (they just never get around to playing the whole catalog on tour).

I'll admit it, I liked their first couple of albums and I still have a few of their songs on my mp3 player. Their first album reminds me a lot of Motley Crue's first album, very raw and basic but still kind of fun. I don't think that they were great or RRHOF worthy but they were a fun band with some nice jams. I always liked Unskinny Bop, good song.

Just like most bands, they had good and bad stuff. I have 3 or 4 of their songs on my iPod in the car. It would be interesting to see what music/bands those who give you flak actually like.

Its always an interesting battle. I love 80's rock and metal, Motley Crue, Def Leppard, KISS (eventhough they're more 70s), and the lesser known bands like Ratt, Warrant, Firehouse, etc.

Why would you consider them lesser known? In the mid 80's they were just as big as them other ones. They just didn't have the longevity of some of the others.

I guess that's a better way of putting it. Cinderella is another favorite. They don't catch on with a lot of my friends when I have that sort of music going because its a bit more blues-influenced. Then again, after CC DeVille got kicked out of the band with Poison and Ritchie Kotzen came in, they too became a blues band (Native Tongue is a VERY underrated album).
