I have a couple of those. Two pairs of Oakleys, a pair of Serengeti Aviators, a cheap wire frame pair, and a pair of fake Oakleys.

I can definitely tell the difference in vision clarity and quality from the real Oakley's and the Serengeti's than from the knock offs and the cheapies. I don't know if it justifies the cost for some, but for me in certain circumstances ( Golfing, OSU football Games, Races, Flying) it certainly does.

The days when conditions are not perfect are when you notice the difference. Like on a hazy, or even misty day, they cut right through all the haze and glare while the cheap ones do not.

I have a pair of Oakley's that I never wear because the frame is bent and they sit crooked. I have a couple pairs of Foakley's that I wear sometimes and like better than the real ones. Most of the time I wear a pair of Panama Jack polarized glasses that I got at Wal-Mart. They have better lenses than the Foakley's.

One pair Oakley Valves with original lenses (for when I'm wearing contact lenses):

One pair Ray-Ban Predators with prescription polarized lenses (when I'm not wearing contact lenses):

Revo... "thinner" black metal frame (sits close to the face, somewhat similar to a wrap frame) with a blue lense... purchased in the late 90's and still look good.... I've also owned mettle and plastic oakley wraps, as well as the old frog skins from the early 90's. I found the Oakleys eventually break and decided to move up to the Revo's (I also considered a pair of Maui Jems... very nice "shades" as well)... I've had no trouble with the Revo's over the last eight years. My Oakleys seemed to break after a couple years (sour taste in my mouth regarding Oakley)...
