What is your favorite Happy Hour location?

OSURhino

Happy Hour Guru
This is my first post, but it will not be my last (I have been reading for a long time).

Anyways, my friend and I both graduated from Ohio State back in 03. We started a Happy Hour site that we would like to get out there and who better to help out than fellow Buckeyes!

The site will help users find local happy hours where ever they are located in the United States. It also will be offering a rating system and comments so you know what bars are good and bad. We will also be implementing social network items such as friend lists, comments, calendar, etc..

Our site is:
Happy Hour Watch - No Matter What Time It Is, Its Happy Hour Somewhere!

So what is your favorite place to go to happy hour?

Mine is, since I live in Cincinnati, a place called Yesterday's. They have $1 well drinks until 9pm! If its for food, then I like Willie's 1/2 price apps. Cincinnati does not offer any Saturday specials for Buckeye games unfortunately.

Welcome to (posting on) BP! Great first post and good LA list... there are a couple places on Wilshire just west of the 405 that are always packed at Happy Hour. I forget the names right now, but when I get them, I'll check your list to make sure they're on their.

Also, Renee's Cafe @ 4th and Wilshire has a weird half-priced drinks night on Tuesdays... the weird thing is that it starts after 10pm...

A lot of places have Service Industry night on Tuesdays for all servers and what not...might play into that. I see places that have two happy hours ones that start a 4 and end at 7 then begin again at Midnight till close, those are nice.

forget happy hour... can we list our favorite places to get a happy ending?
Maybe my next site :wink2:

Brewtus, really? It seem some places in Chicago are not following the rule...unless they just eliminated them recently and I need to update the site!

Restaurants/bars up here are not allowed to have "happy hours." About 8 years ago some woman got loaded at a happy hour and proceeded to kill people as she drove herself home (she might have even killed herself -- don't know the details). So now, no happy hours; but you can discount the price of food.

I love Grendel's Den in Harvard Square (owned by an OSU grad!). They have 1/2 price food and a decent beer selection. They have a huge sign above the bar that says "No Bud, No Coors, No Coors Lite, No Bud Lite, No Miller, No Michelob. Basta." Love it.

Like you need a price reduction to get Bostoners to drink :roll1:
