What is the most you've ever eaten?

on separate bets in high school.... 6 Big Macs in about 1/2 hour and 15 crunchy tacos from Taco Bell in about an hour. Both times I won cash, beer and something else I can't mention here. :)

In high school I could eat like a horse (when I was growing like a weed... soph and Jr. years)... not sure what the "record" of food intake was, however I know that I would eat large pizzas by myself on at least a weekly basis, and that didn't fill me up (usually had a couple pitchers of coke and desert as well... granted that was back when I would typically eat five meals a day... I was always hungry)... my record was probably at Pizza Hut during an all you can eat buffet during lunch (we would skip the class after lunch to give us more time to get our money's worth... no clue how much I ate though)...

In high school, I could routinely eat 3 MDP's (for non Clevelanders, the MDP was named after Michael Dean Perry, the Fridge's "little" bro, and were bacon triple cheeseburgers) after swimming practice and still be hungry. Ironic that the sport that was the best for my cardiovascular system allowed me to eat those which will take the back end few years off my life.

in high school, my history teacher offered a bet that no one could eat a loaf of bread in one sitting. i took that bet. he brought in the extra-large, family-sized loaf of wonder bread. that sucker's a behemoth. i succeeded; however, the last 3 or so slices were very painful and severely tiring. i underestimated just how much the spongy wonder bread expands when consumed.

i won 14 bonus points, which i didn't need anyway. the wager wasn't about what i'd win, though.

The local Wendy's had an eating contest back in the late 70's about every three months. You had to pay for it, but if you ate a single, a double, a triple, and a quad, you got the food for free plus double the the price of the food back. If you couldn't finish, or you didn't keep it down until you left the building, you got nothing but a stomach ache. As a college student I used to go down there just for the money; getting full was just a side benefit.

This is not total amount of food, but in the category of "Food In One Bite". In high school I would eat a QuarterPounder w / cheese in one bite. Still had to chew pretty much forever. Man that was a great way to impress the girls!

My brothers and I are all big boys. After graduating high school, but before moving out of the house, we went to Pizza Hut about once a month. We would each eat two large multi-item deep dish pizzas (and extra cheese was ALWAYS one of the items) Sometimes we'd go someplace afterward for dessert, sometimes not.

After the season ended when I was in Little League, we always had a picnic with the coaches. During one of these picnics, when I was probably 14 or so, I ate two dozen hot dogs (on buns). Along with an unknown (though probably large) amount of ice cream, baked beans, potato salad, and cola. I didn't toss my cookies until after I had gone to sleep, much later that night. What a way to wake up.

There used to be, and may still be, an ice cream, whose name excapes me:! , this place served many different sizes of sundaes, splits, and parfaits. One of these was called the "Pig", and if you could finish it, you got your money back for it, along with a little trophy, saying something like "I made a pig of myself". Well, I finished it. And since I couldn't do anything else the rest of the day, I ruined the trip to the big city for everbody in my group.

None of the folks I hang out with ever buy less than ten tacos at a time, with the usual being 15 to 20. Wimp:biggrin:

32oz porterhouse from Sir Scott's Oasis in Manhatten, Montana!
Plus a baked potato and salad and bowl of icecream. :tongue2:

SIR SCOTT'S OASIS STEAK HOUSE

204 West Main Street
Manhattan
Tel: 406 284 6929

The best steakhouse in Montana. You'll find yourself in front of a phonebook-sized T-bone steak so tender you'll wonder why your server brought a steak knife. Sir Scott's is 20 minutes west of Bozeman in the tiny town of Manhattan. (For the best steaks in that other Manhattan, click here.) The license plates in the parking lot are mostly local, and the menu is simple, offering a dozen or so steaks in various sizes and cuts, including a prime rib that's aged in-house for a month. The bar is a popular after-work stop for beers, a game of pool, or a 14-ounce steak for 12 bucks.
