A couple of summers ago, I was at my peak weight...something in the 370 range. Took the grandnippers to White Water Park and decided to give the cliff hanger a try. It's a 90-foot near-vertical water slide that levels out across a 50-foot horizontal deceleration pool. You enter the line walking past this horizontal pool, so you can see people coming down and splashing their way to a complete stop. Onlookers were waiting by this deceleration pool hoping to get splashed, but not much was happening that day.

So up I climb. Wait in line...finally it's my turn. I give myself a good push and down I go. Next thing I know, I am climbing out of that pool to a standing ovation as everyone nearby and not so nearby, including the attendant with a major "WTF!!!" look on his face were completely drenched.

I knew I was useful for something.:biggrin: :biggrin:

370 LBs down a 50 foot vertical waterslide is the equivalent of a waterpark Tsunami.

Christ, if you are going to complain about the morbidly obese, at least have a serious complaint like the increasing cost of health insurance, not some whiny bullshit about losing 5 minutes of your obvoiously soooo important time.
