What film had the greatest soundtrack?

Ok, I'll play...
The new Spider Man: Into The Spiderverse has a really good hip-hop soundtrack (although it doesn't include the Biggie song that's in the movie)
I'll add a vote for Dazed and Confused, Good Morning Vietnam as "greatest hits of a time period" soundtracks, and Braveheart in the instrumental category.
As a child of the 80s, The Lost Boys was embarrassingly a part of my rotation...

I was just reminded of Mark Mothersbaugh, who according to his wiki has scored every non-Disney animated movie over the past decade (!), as well as many Wes Anderson movies, including Rushmore which has an outstanding soundtrack.

Die Hard

Special recognition for “scoring against type” and using Beethoven’s ninth as Hans’s boys got the vault open.

Now that you went there, X-Men Apocalypse had a real nice use of the 2nd movement from Beethoven's 7th (which is an epic motherfucker of a piece of music if ever there was one).

the 2nd movement from Beethoven's 7th (which is an epic motherfucker of a piece of music if ever there was one).
my all-time favorite classical piece is the 7th's 2nd movement. heck, it's in my top 5 in all of music. maybe #2 behind nick drake's "pink moon." my deathbed song, if you will.

i highly recommend getting carlos kleiber's rendition backed by the vienna. there is nothing better, though karajan's '63 is pretty lush (as is the whole '63 package set). kleiber is fire to karajan's water.

and deutsche grammophon's complement of beethoven's 5th along with the 7th makes the cd/album an absolute must-have. it's always my first choice when recommending one classical album. the horns in the 5th spit fire. a perfect recording and performance if there ever was one.
