What Excites You Most About The Upcoming FB Season?

2007 Pups with the biggest bite?

First, please excuse the Cooper expression.(but I like it)

Which pups from the 2007 class will provide the biggest bite? Will Saine see any significant PT behind Wells? What about Clifford? Can he make an immediate impact on the field? What about the many other stud defensive prospects? What about the WR's?

Which young pups do you predict will make an immediate impacts on the field?

Im thinking Cameron Heyward Will Make The Biggest Freshman Impact

With Saine Being Limited Behind Chris And Mo On The Depth (Unless He Returns Kicks/Punts, Which I Would Like To See Him Do This Year)

i thought the theory was to play freshman to find out which ones were gonna bite?

Which pups do you think will bite hardest?

That...my friend.. is the question....

I like the idea of Heyward maybe making a big impact on the D-line. I hope Saine can find a way to get PT and make big plays. Im not too familiar with a few of the pup WRs and some of the other good defensive/athelete prospects.

Hey dude don't take things personal around here because you haven't even run into some of the posters here that will just make it not fun for you if you do. As for the freshman are you talking about the 07 class such as brandon saine or are you talking about the guys that haven't signed yet?

Ok went over to that thread and I know what you are talking about now. Ok my prediction is that Saine will have a huge impact this year. I think that Heyward will eventually be a great player but I think that both the defensive and offensive lineman rarely play from day one. They usually need some time to develope and learn technique.

Yea...

I was wondering if Saine might be good enough to get significant PT behind C. Wells.(over M. Wells)

Also...son of Iron head:) Is he gonna be a freshman monster on the D-line? Plus, a few of the WR's........are they good enough to get significant PT??

Stuff like that... I know there are a bunch of other guys on the defensive side of the ball that might get PT as freshman too. I figured by now, some of the guys who started early might be working their way into the lineup by now. (or at least making a name for themselves)

well here is the thing and this is all just my opinion I don't have insider info. I think they will find a way to get saine and C. Wells in the game at the same time....perhaps have Saine in a ted ginn role on certain plays. I think he will have a decent impact. I think Washington the WR could get some playing time but we are pretty deep at WR. Don't forget about Ray Small, I look for him to have a better year than last. I believe that Heyward will probably be redshirted but it depends how thin we are at DT. Clifford I think plays from day 1. But don't forget about all the Redshirt freshman we have that didn't see the field much last year. I look for Thadeus Gibson and Mark Johnson to make an impact on special teams until our LB spots are vacated after next year. Look for Dexter Larimore to step up at DT.

Brian Rolle on Special Teams...

Coach: "Brian, find that ball as fast and as hard as you can..."

Brian: "Yes sir..."

Kick off commences...

Ball taken out a yard deep, crosses the five, looks for his blockers, to the ten, fifteen...

"BOOM"...titanic collision at the 18 yd line as 106k screaming fans see the ball pop loose, Brian gets up, adjusts his face mask, and below him is the crumpled mess of the return man

Brian "Bonecrusher" Rolle...watch out, kickoff and punt team maniac this season

I'm excited to see more from Robert Rose. It seemed that he got to the quarterback a lot last year in limited snaps (mostly mop up duty). I think we will have a excellent DE rotation which will keep the guys fresh in the 4th quarter.

Rose and Worthington. I really hope Worthington has a monster year and finds a good home in the middle.

Jon Diebler averaging just under three 3-pointers a game, shooting >60% from long-range... oh, wait, wrong sport...

Rose and D. Worthington have a big impact collectively with teams trying to avoid big Vern. No inside info, but I think Saine will get a chance and his size and speed will make an impact one way or another. If Rolle can see the field on special teams, I also think he will be nasty.

I'm most excited about the opening kickoff and every play after that! :oh:
