Clarett's issues would make him the clear winner of this question... as the original post was not about positive impact but merely impact...

yea i realize only a few said that. im was just implying that i dont think we would have won the games.BuckeyeFROMscUM said:Onlye a couple stated that we would have won 2 NC's (which is a huge homerism)... but winning 4-5 games more over the last two regular seasons is a dramatic improvement that MoC most likely would have provided.

Ole Elliot got one in the craw from Coop.
Wasn't Eddie's Freshman year 1992? I was at that Illinois game and was so mad that Coop kept putting in this Freshman inside the 5 and he kept fumbling. We were kicking the crap out of Illinois and if I remember right, Eddie fumbled three times inside the 5 and two were returned for touch downs. We ended up losing like 21-14. He was three quarters of the way to the heisman before I forgave him. Still haven't forgiven Coop though. LOL. J/k.In 1994 add Orlando Pace, Eddie George and Shawn Springs to a team that went 6-2 (9-4) with losses at Washington, the drubbing at Penn State that Eddie was too hurt to play in, the Illinois game where George had fumble-itis and a one touchdown loss to Alabama. We ended up USA Today 9th and AP 14th.
I might be mistaken about which game he did all the fumbling in but we lost in 92 and 94 at Ohio Stadium... I think the 92 score was 18 to 16.Tbuck said:Wasn't Eddie's Freshman year 1992? I did a little google'ing and I am too lazy to look further, but I graduated in '92. I don't think I have ever gone back for an Illinois game. So I don't think that it was '94.

Once on campus, the coaching staff immediately became enamored with George's work habits, and he earned immediate playing time. That was no small chore in 1992, with Robert Smith, Raymont Harris (both future NFL running backs) and speedy Butler By'not'e on the roster. George was considered a goal-line hammer on that team, racking up five touchdowns on the season.
But just when it seemed George would emerge, he suffered a setback in a crucial game. Playing against Illinois at home, George lost two fumbles on the goal line. The Illini recovered each time, returning one for a score, to earn an 18-16 win in Ohio Stadium. Although he peeled off a 60-yard run the following week against Northwestern, George slowly melted into the background.
