Yes, I'm getting quite hungry, too.

I enjoy cooking quite a bit, but there's nothing I really make regularly, so I guess I don't have any "specialties." I actually kind of prefer baking, which I try not to do too often unless I have somewhere to take the stuff. But I'm the one who's always bringing the desserts.

I did make some pretty damn good squash soup last week, though.

My claims to fame within my abode are french toast and grilled cheese...

If you want an idea for having one of the most fun and treasured experiences in your life... cook a meal(s) or desert with your child... Immense fun... tons of laughter... priceless..

I usually stick with quick and simple stuff, so more complex cooking is a luxury. I like projects that take a while, such as homemade pasta, handmade bread, soups that take all day to cook, etc. Improvising something substantial out of whatever odds and ends are around the house is fun, too. Have to try the truly fancy meals from time to time, too.

Right now, I'm on a spicy foods kick. This weekend, I made Thai lime shrimp soup, peanut sauce, and a mango/jalepeno/curry sauce for chicken. The freezer will be full for a while.

I love to cook when I have time...but during the season, God Bless the Crock Pot.

Working third shift, and my wife in the medical field, the crock pot is absolute life saver.

When I get to cook, Its usually traditional dinners like chicken, pork chops, roasts and that sort of thing. I make a mean chili and I love to cook Italian food. Four Cheese Manicotti, Homemade stuffed Ravioli, Shrimp Penne....

I bet you make a mean bowl of Campbell's Soup :wink2:

Cooking with the boys is always interesting. When they make pizza I have learned to let them have their own dough as I really do not feel like eating their pizza after watching them make it. Kind of like watching sausage being made. But it is always fun and they love cooking.

I make a mean spaghetti sauce in the old crock pot as well. I still have not developed a good meatball recipe though. Corned beef and cabbage is much better in the crock pot than the stove.

I make a killer Lasaroni. I can share my recipe, as long as we keep it here. No posting on other web sites, please.

What you need:
Stouffer's frozen lasagna. They make those 1-serving deals. That'll be perfect. If you're a hippie, feel free to get the three-cheese lasagna. But I know where I fit on the food chain, so I get the one that's got lots of meat.
Stouffer's frozen macaroni and cheese. They also make the 1-serving deals. Perfect.

To cook the lasagna, follow the directions on the back. 350, 55 minutes. With about 5 minutes to go, stuff the mac and cheese in the microwave, and cook for 4 minutes.

Mix the two in a bowl. The lasagna noodles are larger and will need to be cut up.

Or, I guess you could make your own lasagna and your own macaroni and cheese. But I'd be interested to see you play video games while you make it that way.

Recommended side dishes: potato chips, doritos, maybe fritos. Whatever you can find.
Recommended wine to go along with the meal: beer.
