What Do Hasselback and Roethleisberger have in Common?

What Do Hasselback and Roethlisberger have in Common?

As strange as it may seem, both of these Super Bowl quarterbacks had OSU offers. Hasselback ultimately chose Boston College. I don't believe we pursued him, as we had a qb in hand (Stanley Jackson?). "Big Ben" was recruited and offered as a tight end, as he only played qb at Findlay for what two years? Anyway, he went to Miami of Ohio as a qb, and the rest is history.

Shows what good judge of talent, or more probably, the development of personnel in college versus what their high school potential can do. This could be placed on the recruiting board also, but hey. Not completely certain who the qb was recruited rather than Hasselback (am certain that someone out there will know), but seem to remember that we were 'set' and backed off. But do know that none of our qbs played in the super bowl yesterday. :oh:

Randel El threw a better pass on Sunday then Germaine and Krenzel ever did in their pisspoor NFl careers, Dr. Watson.
boy, how did I overlook such brilliant logic. Someone better let TCU know they can start pitching a new recruiting angle featuring their great QB tradition
