Got to see my daughter open her own gifts for the first time and want to play with every single toy before opening the next one. Every gift got a "Wow!"

On the other side of the coin... Got the last Christmas gifts I'll ever get from my Dad... he was a good "ahead of time shopper" obviously. My birthday is next month.... have one gift from him in my closet, for that too... dunno that I'll be able to bring myself to open it... I suppose its a good problem to have, but its pretty surreal bringing home a bag of presents from a funeral that are from the person that has passed.

Anyway, I got some "stuff"-- what it is doesn't really matter. Some things were very thoughtful... like a bag full of German candy (I love that kind of crap)... some of it was just stuff to open... like some wrapped up shampoo... some very useful... My Mom bought me a new floor for my kitchen (I have to install it of course)... and... money... which is always helpful.... but... still... its stuff.

I started a new job this last year, I spend my days at a desk now, so my wife gave me a Ohio State desk set and mouse pad. Received lots of other things but the coolest is the auto start she had installed on my car. No more going out to warm or cool the car off, press a button from the comfort of the house or office and I'm set!
