What are you totally incompetent at???

I thought it would be fun to start the opposite of the "what are you good at" thread, especially since so many of us enjoy self-defamating humor. Me:

1.) anything mechanical, or handy-man related, i really suck, and much prefer to pay someone else.....usually when it boils down to it and i have to do something, i'm ok, but i HAAAAAAAAAAATE it
2.) anything car related, i'm like a woman when it comes to cars
3.) procrastination, or i guess "not procrastinating"........."why do anything today that you can put off til the very last minute?"

Finances. I now have a financial advisor and anytime he suggests something, I just ask my Dad. I still have no idea what a Roth IRA is.
I'm no financial advisor, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

A Roth IRA gets money that has already been subjected to federal income tax, like the net amount in your paycheck. Then when you withdraw it upon retirement, you don't have to pay taxes on it.

Traditional IRA's get money that's subtracted from your gross income before your annual income tax is determined (or before withholding is taken out of your paycheck), so it hasn't been taxed. When you withdraw it as an old geezer, it gets taxed then. But the odds are you'll be in a lower tax bracket at that point, only withdrawing what you need to live on.

With these don't you still have to pay taxes on the interest that is earned?

1) Molecular Genetics

3) Swahili
I actually learned a few words of Swahili while on a safari a few years back.

Jambo! means hello. Mzuri means OK or good.

Sawa sawa, tuende means "that's enough, let's go" - you'd say that to let the driver know that you were done watching/taking pictures, and it was OK to move on. That's about all the Swahili I remember after 8 years.
