What are you currently watching on TV?

Warriors of Liberty City. Documentary about youth football and the community of Liberty City, Miami. Produced by Lebron's production team. It's good. Hardcore 1990's Big 10 football fans will recognize the name TuTu Atwell, who makes an appearance in one episode.

Just caught up on the first 2 seasons of "Crashing" on HBO, with the 3rd season currently showing new episodes on Sundays. It really is a funny show, about a "nice guy" comedian trying to break into the NYC standup scene, and it's got some great comedian cameos. Artie Lange is a regular supporting character, kind of a mentor and total opposite to the star Pete Holmes, and my wife (who never knew of Artie previously) just loves him. He's like a big chain-smoking heroin-addicted teddy bear.

Season 3 - True Detective. It's absolutely tedious and boring, but I keep watching. The white sidekick cop is the best part, so far. Ali does I guess a good job of portraying a supposedly complicated character who's really bland and boring in three different decades. There's so little energy in the show that I think the murder(s?) were really suicides.

Just finished Season 2 of The Man in the High Castle. I had given up on this show earlier in Season 2 but dusted it back off when I saw an add for Season 3. Glad I went back to it and looking forward to starting Season 3.

I'm with you on all of that. I can't discern anything clearly off with Ali's performance, but I'm having a hard time caring about or fully understanding all of his character's angst and obsession with the case. I think the writing's a bit off more so than him, but I can't really say how. I actually liked the underdeveloped hot mess of TD Season 2 better than this: I think that season 2 had a lot of potential but was developed too quickly and came off like a first draft of something that would have been really good with more baking time. Season 3 is just meh.
