This is the strangest year I can remember in college football in quite some time. Cincy being in the Top 25, michigan losing to 1-AA, notre shame going 0-5, IL beating WI, KENTUCKY being a Top 25 team, Stanford beating USC, etc...

I know any one team can beat another at any time, it is just seems rather extreme this year.

Well, now we know that the revolution really was televised, in three major parts:

App St 34, Michigan 32
Syracuse 38, Louisville 35
Standford 24, USC 23

Three top ten teams getting dressed down at home by vastly inferior opponents. Let's hope Tressel's boys get up for Kent State!

Louisville flat out sucks so I don't consider the Syracuse upset to be that big a deal.

WOAH! NoD just won BIG! Charlie Weis for Coach Of The Year!....

I think it's even more comical that after all this talk of there being NO WAY Ohio State makes it to a second national title.. They are on pace for it.

Ohio State doesn't rebuild... They reload! Great example of that this year!

If Florida had held on, it would have resulted in ALL 5 of the top 5 from two weeks ago having been dealt a loss.

As it is, 4 of the top 5 and much of the rest of the top 15 from two weeks ago have losses.

South Florida was taken to the wall by Florida Atlantic today. They got a touchdown in the last minute (rather than taking a knee) after getting the ball back on downs at the Owl 20. The game was much closer than the score made it look.

Because most pollsters will only have seen the score, it is possible that the Bulls will be in the top 5. That is a complete joke. They're decent, but no where near top 5 material.

Because so many of the big boys have absorbed losses, many of the teams in the upcoming top 10 are teams that will have been placed there by default. This will result in a lot of these pretenders being exposed.

More "upsets" are coming. And it will be a lot like today where some of the upsets were upsets in the rankings only, but no surprise at all to Vegas.

There's no doubt, but Michigan flat out sucks too. Who beats EMU by only 11 points anyway? The reason I included the two along with what I think's a pretty good, but nowhere near great SC team is that they were both ranked in the top 10 at the beginning of the season.

So many programs in college wether it be 1-a D-1 or D-2, have the convience to have year round weight lifting and alot more students
have access to internets to keep them abreast of other schools. And
there is so much Parity anymore that adds to the mix of all schools almost being equal. The defenses are mirrored and they almost become pre-dictable in thier reads. But Ohio State at this point seems to be just alittle ahead of other schools. Lets hope it stays that way.
