I just take it as the Ohio State fan base is pretty large and someone on buckeye planet is going to see him say stupid things, he's scripted to say a lot of stupid things so the thread is pretty long. I only saw what he said at half time because I'm watching the game otherwise I try to avoid Mark May.

Meh.. probably. I don't watch any of them. I just change the channel at half. No interest in listening to that freakshow.

His character is entertaining. Therefore I enjoy watching him. Mark May (the character) is a blithering idiot and the definition of troll, but there are a lot of TV show characters like that. If everyone stopped watching every television show that had a token asshole there would be nobody watching TV.

You're a better man than me. I stopped watching anything having to do with May the day Ohio State beat Purdue on Holy Buckeye. When he said "Ohio State doesn't even deserve to be ranked" It was that moment that I decided he had nothing of value for me. I can deal with him when he is in the booth on the occasional game.

He is like "the fool" character in Shakespearian theatre, except that sometimes "the fool" in Shakespearian theatre says something unexpectedly intelligent.
