West Region vBet and Discussion

The pace has really slowed. It was 59-58 with 10 minutes left. 65-65 almost 6 minutes later.

Good game though.

Same, except for my overall. (17-5)

If Louisville would have actually shown up, were talking a perfect Elite 8 and 15/16 Sweet Sixteen. Oh well, not as bad as it could be.

Im sure there is some idiot out there that has filled out 50 ESPN brackets and will nail all the games.

Irving and Nolan Smith would both have a huge advantage over their Buckeye counterparts (sorry, Will), but we'd have the advantage with Lighty over Plumlee (either one), Diebler over the third Duke guard, and Sullinger over any two Duke can put on the court.

FYP.

I have Duke in my Final Four, but I definitely do NOT want to see them there, unless tOSU is out. Everyone is saying he's not going to have an impact, and yeah he didn't do all that much today, but this kid is better than Nolan Smith, and Nolan Smith is a 1st-team All American.

edit: I turned it off when he had like 4 points and had just gone to the bench. Just saw the box score and, well, I guess he got more comfortable :p

The problem is that they are so much deeper, and while I generally think that depth doesn't matter all that much because the layers are typically much weaker, I make an exception in this case because even Duke's 4th and 5th guards would be starters at most Division 1 programs.

I lost an elite eight team yesterday. :bonk::lol:

I lost St. John's in the Elite 8, Belmont and Louisville in the Sweet 16 and had both Sparty and Vandy winning a game, so that half of my bracket is pretty hosed.

Overall I was 5/10 on the right side yesterday--Vandy, Louisville, Belmont, Sparty, St. John's--but I'm 11/11 on the left side with things looking good for a 12/12, though. I do have 7/8 Elite 8 teams 4/4 Final Four alive, so I'm still OK I guess.

Also, gotta root for FSU! I have them beating Notre Dame on Sunday :paranoid:

I've got 14/16 left and all Elite-8. Not shabby!

Today SDSU faces off against Temple. I think Temple will need a huge day from their backcourt to win this one. They don't have a consistent big man and the Aztecs have 3 of them. SDSU may be able to get away with another low-FG% day if they can out-rebound them the entire day.

Aztecs are reminding me of some of those Izzo led Michigan State teams, usually a large rebounding edge, solid/consistent defense and some clumsy offense.
