Since alot of you guys cant take my style maybe it is time to move on. What do ya think as the majority will rule. One guy against you all is tough sometimes and it seems that some of you have gotten way to pissed at me and that is not fun for any of us.

3 YARDS - GRAD -PROF-TIBOR - CLARITY and sometimes even Mili !You guys seem to be great guys. If we were in a bar having a drink I am sure we would have a blast giving each other crap.
 
i got no problems with the chief, then again i imagine lots of 'advanced in age' posters may have some problems with my style as well.

i actually enjoy talking ND football. not a fan at all though i do have respect now. in fact i used to hate ND. back in law school i had two neighbors on my floor that were massive ND guys. ND was good (all the way back in 93) and it pissed me off that they got the benefit of the doubt with the media and pollsters (other than that one NC they got screwed on). long story short these ND guys were serious about football like us buckeyes. big time. and they could party down for college football like buckeyes. big time. me and one dude did the casemaker one college football saturday. that is a case of boilermakers. 24 beers with 24 shots in them and all chugged. it was over like a 17 hour period of watching all the games on TV but it was insane. i remember chasing them with about 6 or 8 bass ales. i honestly don't know how we survived some of those sessions.

now ND is no longer a threat to the buckeyes and one of those ND guys is my best friend (the irish patent attorney). i watch nearly every ND game with him that doesn't conflict with the bucks or the game or two i attend every year.
anyways, ND chief hasn't ever pissed me off, but i don't go around looking for his threads or anything either.

Hell Chief the bickering isn't a big deal...everyone (well almost everyone) around here is able to discuss any issue even if it gets heated. Its just a message board so I would hope nobody is pissed off in reality. Anyway, there is no way you piss these guys off more than Tibor...and you couldn't pay him to stay away. Tell everybody to kiss your ass and keep swinging.

i vote ya stay golden homer, you like to interject your team.. oh well, you ARE a notre damn fan and its good to hear some alternative opinions, we have miami and usc fans now, there no reason to kick you.. stay, hell if i left cuz ppl didnt like my style id have been gone long ago for some of the political threads..

I like the added flavor of having a few visitors from other schools. But if you are going to go around with 'Notre Dame' in your name you will need some thicker skin.

And many folks really don't want to hear about what is going on at Notre Dame unless 1) it is directly related to what is going on at OSU, or 2) it is bad news for Notre Dame.

Other than that, if the diminished reading comprehension skills that go hand in hand with being associated with ND don't keep you from following what we are saying - hang around.

I don't have a problem with you NDChief. Just don't feel the need to interject ND into threads that don't relate to ND and you'll probably get little to no flack. When it comes to ND topics, you'll just need thick skin. Some folks really don't like the domers and will take every opportunity to let you know about it. I don't think that's unlike any other board you'll visit that isn't a ND board. Hope the boys are doing well.

Oh, we haven't kicked Tibor off the island yet ... that should tell you something. :biggrin:

One of the best things about this site is that it seems to have more adults than some other sites. If you and another person have a "spat", you just deal with it and move on. People don't all have to agree in order for the world to proceed. Disagree and let it be. Don't continue to clash with the same person over and over again as all that will do is bring down your enjoyment of chatting with other posters. There really is no reason why you should put up with someone constantly badgering you, put them on ignore.

I guess the short answer is, no don't leave. Take some of the others advise and don't interject a ND spin on topics that should not be about ND. Take you shots at others and they will take their shots at you but at the end of the day, nothing (at least to me) is personal. How can you take something personally if the person making the comments does not know you personally? Get some thicker skin and keep slugging. Tibor is a great punching bag, everyone takes shots at him and he has fun with everyone in return.

Dude, do whatever the hell you want. I haven't personally seen any threads or posts that I didn't like, until now. It seems a little queer to me that you need to start a new thread just to get some positive reinforcement. If you like it here, then hang out. If not, then have a good one...
