Well after a hard loss, what better is there to do than look ahead?

there was no way psu was going to go 6-0 this year... so I think its equally hard to predict how we're going to do next year. Sorry for the spin, I guess in repeating the part I didn't like, it eventually became misleading. I realize you weren't promising that we'd lose 5.

MoC singlehandedly changed our fortunes in 2002. When he was healthy, we were a high-powered offense. When he got hurt that changed. CWells & Pittman could bring back our rushing game. Pittman is a stud, but isn't big enough to take 25 carries. Give Haw & MWells another year too, and we could do some good things.

Without holmes, we will focus on more I-formation sets probably. Dionte is a monster at FB. I can see our running game doing good things next year. Pittman just needs some freaking help and carries.

Now thats the type of thing I agree with 100%. Wells could very well be the difference maker that MoC was as a frosh BUT the D is gonna drop off some, just no way to get around it. Thats what scares me about next year the most.

I feel bad for the kid tho, b/c he could be an outstanding frosh but he has to live up to one of the best RBs to play here, IMO. Clarett isn't necessarily in the top-5, but he was still unreal.

BTW, Ginn will run back 20 INTs for TDs when he goes back to corner next year :tongue2: We won't need offense :)

Predicting the 2006 Offense?

1. I believe Joe Pa brought in a competent OC.

2. How can you predict more I-formations next year? With the total random walk approach to an offensive formation scheme, how can anyone predict what we will do. It is like looking into a crystal ball.

You could, however, predict the play calling.

Run inside the tackles on 1st down.

Short pass to TE/HB on 2nd.

7-10 yd pass play to try to extend the drive.

Punt on 4th and play defense.
