Correct.

PSU - '97
TSUN - '81 and '89
Purdue - '68
Iowa - '61

Note - MSU was #1 in '52, but wasn't a member of the Big Ten for football until 1953.
Good question! BTW, MSU joined the conference in '50 but didn't participate in any sport until '53... didn't remember that until my last guess.

It was somewhat of a trick question. I figured the 'while a member of the conference' thing would steer people away from Penn St.

More questions tonight at 8 p.m. Eastern, and then it'll also be back this Thursday.

The last time Indiana appeared in the AP football poll was September 20, 1994. Which two teams from BCS conferences currently have a longer streak of non-appearances in the AP poll?

Before Will Allen's 100-yard interception return for a TD against San Diego State in 2003, who had the longest interception return for a TD by a Buckeye in the 'Shoe?

Hopalong Cassady

Correct. During the NC year of 1954m when trailing Wisconsin 7-3, Hopalong grabbed a pass in the left flat and went 88 yards to put the Buckeyes ahead.

Last question coming right up.
