I’m more excited by this than most, but enjoying the Illinois run and hope they finish like 11-1/10-2 or something insanely good. It also lives to serve as an embarrassment to the West as Illinois was literally under 50 feet of shit as a program and here they are controlling their own destiny while others are just bottoming out hardcore with no end in sight.

Some of the comments are hilarious:

This is definitely where Pete Carroll got the idea to draw up that play where Malcolm Butler intercepted Russell Wilson at the goal line in the SB!

72 is some kind of an athlete!!!

Unrealistic, because we all know neither team will ever make it this close to the goal line.

Tough to top the September, 1978 opener between Northwestern and Illinois, a 0-0 tie.

And I distinctly remember the SI football season preview that year saying something like “Northwestern against Illinois: is either team good enough to win this game?”
