Week 8 Games Discussion

Sure but bro, there have to be better offenses in high school teams than TTUN's. Even their defense has like 2 or 3 players the rest just completely sucks. They literally have no QB capable of hitting the broadside of a barn.
Basically, TCUN's players still believed in the hubris when they played USC and Minny.

Washington killed that belief and Illinois buried it. TCUN might not win another game.

Haven’t seen this? On?

I do remember a ways back when our TE dropped a TD in the end zone that would have won a game and got a whole bunch of hate.
I mean we've had idiots try to email Ted Ginn to not declare for the NFL draft and things like that here before....not to mention Giovanni Strassini and the legend of him playing in the Rose Bowl....guys who were convinced that socks were the key to a receiver's success to wondering if only scoring FGs could beat only scoring touchdowns....

But by and large until about 4-ish years ago, BP was mostly a sanctuary from the stupid directed solely at the players and coaches Criticism yes, but the sustained "Win or fire everyone" bullshit never really took root. You'll still get some of it in-game which is at least, understandable, but the sustained craziness mostly hasn't been here. Every fanbase changes and Ohio State's has changed the most since the Tressel era til now - it's gotten far larger, and the expectations are sky high pretty much year-round.

The reality is people aren't going to be fired if they win 88% of their games. Or if a position group isn't quite up to fan expectations unless it's hilariously bad like the special teams were last season, for instance. Or even going back to the Tressel era when DAVE was a staple and they struggled to block it well - no one was getting fired as long as the wins continued.
