Week 8 Game Discussion Thread

This election bullshit makes me want to burn it all down. They are already encroaching on the State and National Parks. I wont say that I will be able to control my actions if that keeps up.

If people think that elected officials are going to get this College Football thing right, you might be part of the problem. Back to the action.

DeBoer is actually a pretty decent coach. He just gets the misfortune of coming after Saban when NIL has allowed other schools to pay players robbing them of their ultimate playbook advantage.
I agree on the guy after the guy but DeBoer is nothing more than average at best.

I think the SEC is experiencing what happened to the NFL in the late 90’s- they balanced out the talent and edges only really exist at QB and coaching.

So it’s a gauntlet in that, just like the NFL, you take a bunch of essentially equal teams and wail away on each other all the games are close (advertisers) and anyone can beat anyone. You end up with 3-4 losses being a good year.

So to my point on DeBoer, there is no edge for Bama in coaching. This game with A&M has a bunch of eventual NFL guys on both teams I’m sure but the combined play of these two teams is bad.

I mean this is just bad, ugly football. One team will end up beating itself more.

I would say he's at least a good Offensive coach but his Defense needs a lot of work. He won a lot at UW by scoring a lot. Ultimately I think his success at Bama will depend on who he settles on as his DC. You have to play Defense in the SEC or you get walked.
