Week 5 Games Discussion

Hell be long gone by then

Yeah, my fear is Fickell will take over at Notre Dame in a few years.

Sir you're highly wasted Iowa State has always been in the Big 8/12

But didn't Nebraska leave the Big12 for the B1G? I'm just saying it makes more sense.

Clearly I wasn't as knowledgeable about the Big12 since I was asking about it. BTW thank you @Bucklion for the info.

And that's ma'am to you around these parts (I dunno just seemed right when talking about the Texas teams).

So I assume you'd rather be a Gopher fan since Minnesota is a better place to live than Ohio?

There's a minimum level that matters. Parts of the US are 3rd world. I say this having lived in 3rd world countries and in parts of the South.
Alabama is under that level. As a contrast, Georgia is not.
My heart goes out to you.
I moved from Baltimore to Florida.

We should get together and share war stories.

Still... Not sure I'm a big fan of this new channel arrangement.

That area is so Jeckyl-Hyde. Extreme wealth one block and slums and crime the next. DMV is the same.
It's not a coincidence the train stops at Glen Burnie and they never finished the line to Annapolis or E Shore. Those people want to pretend the rest of the State doesn't exist.
Yeah, man. My first duty station in the Air Force was Edwards AFB in the Antelope Valley. Dusty, desolate hellscape. I do not have any idea how people live there by choice. I mean, the aerospace industry employs a lot of folks there, so money talks, but that is one of the worst places I've ever been. Thank God I was only there for about 16 months.

Cannon is another one.
Probably spent time at ~20 bases, and I'm still amazed at how bad that place is. Biloxi couldn't hold a candle to Cannon.

Yes Nebraska left for the B1G and Colorado went out west with Utah to make the PAC12 from 10

Geographically you are right of course, but ORD can give a course on why academically and institutionally it doesn’t make as much sense

Baltimore is fucking terrifying if you don’t have a guide.

Ooh microbrew, oh craft brew, oh winery, oh fuck, we went a block too far and are in The Wire.

Oh yeah....I installed a NIPR router for DISA there in 2002. I was happy to never have to go back

edit: had the wrong year....
I arrived at Edwards in Feb, the overseas listings came out in May, I had orders to the UK in Aug and was gone the following May. Edwards was one of those assignments that you got dumped in and forgotten. There were people who had been stuck there for 4,5,6 years. A couple of my buddies that got there same time as me spent their whole 4 year enlistment there and separated because it sucked so bad. I got an assignment out 6 months after arriving. I wasn't very popular around the shop.
