Something like that happened when my son was playing for Charleston Southern against Coastal.Carolina. Coastal was up 7 with like 10 seconds left. The ball was on Coastal’s 40 yard line and they decided to take a safety. The punter (actually a WR) took the snap and ran for their end zone. He lost track of where he was and stepped out of bounds on the 1 1/2 yard line. We got the ball there with a little over a second left on the clock. One pass play later and the XP and we were tied. Won the conference title in double OT. :lol:
