With both Big Noon and CGD in Ann Arbor on Saturday, the timing of The Leak might be perfect

IMO that point stands even if they both continue treating the scandal like the third rail of the subway line. If X and YouTube and the rest of the internet are on fire with talk of this and both major pre-game shows are IN ANN ARBIR and say nothing… that’ll stoke the fire on the internet more than anything else could.

On a related topic; I wouldn’t be at all surprised if more than one UT fan is physically attacked for what his sign says on Saturday (assuming Fox and espn don’t confiscate such signs first)

I have zero expectations for the TCUN game. Every time I get my hopes up for a disappointing loss the last 3 years they’ve not obliged at all.

Texas should win but let’s not forget it’s Texas.

Their defense is good enough to keep it from being a blowout, but the offense is Loveland, Mullings, and the kicker. Edwards will break a few big plays, but creates nothing on his own. The rest of the two-deep is full of seniors and graduates, which is surprising for a team that just lost 44 of them. There's not much room for growth. Against good teams they'll have to rely on trick plays and misdirection.

I could see Michigan forcing a lot of pressure and getting turnovers with blitzes, but if they can't throw Ewers off, he'll pick them apart. The secondary looked leaky and Johnson was gambling and got beaten badly on what should've been a TD.

Agreed.

If Texas just plays a clean game I think they win. Will they play a clean game though?

My favorite picks for week 2…

I was admittedly awful week 1 so hoping for a bounce back here. Historical trends definitely didn’t play out, as mid majors largely got trounced as the “haves” separate from the “have nots”. Between NIL and the transfer portal, I think it’s a real struggle for mid-majors to field complete teams. That said, there’s a few teams that stood out week 1 that I think showed they can be competitive enough to cover:

Colorado +7.5 @ Nebraska….take the better QB here. Wish Colorado could run the ball more consistently , but this has a game deciding FG all over it. Nebraska starting a true freshman at QB….Colorado also brings Big 12 refs to the game….usually helpful.

Marshall +20.5 @ Va Tech….I think Marshall is better than Vandy..who beat Va Tech. Marshall is solid and Va Tech is just so one dimensional….i don’t think Va Tech has the horse-power to pull away

Buffalo +34.5 @ Mizzou…..Mizzou is a very good team but Buffalo is a legit mid-major. I like Buffalo to keep this game respectable

Boise State +19.5 vs Oregon…..Boise run game is nasty with one of the best RB in nation. Oregon still figuring out offense with Dillon Gabriel…..this is a nasty, no upside game, for Oregon…

Michigan @ home +7.5 vs Texas ….i hate making this pick, but Michigan will keep this close. I like Tejas to win, but this is a one score game IMO….Michigan run game keeps Texas talent at bay….
