These farm belts teams are being hurt by the fact that the "Farm Boys" of old no longer exist and they're having to get their big eaters from out of state. Football has changed so radically, I don't see a team like Nebraska ever being relevant again. So how many years does this Corn coach last? And is Frost' career rebounded by then?
At this point i think they could hire Saban and struggle to win 9 in a weak division

They have to be like Oregon, there's no talent in Oregon but they have a deep pocket donor that has built some amazing facilities that has enabled them to recruit nationwide. You have to be able to draw top talent to win these days and this country has shrank so to speak. There's very little talent in NB so how do you get top player to go to that shit hole?Relevant in what context? NC? Agree
But any power conference team can reach 9 wins.
It's also a phenomenon affecting their entire division. Northwestern has gone to Indy recently.
Wisconsin has the same issues and routinely boatraces them like an FCS opponent.
CU is affected by this same issue.
I don't know where the rot starts with Corn. AD? But since firing Pelini, they have developed a strong culture of Losing.
Between 2015-2020 they were as dominant as anyone they fell back down to Earth in a big hurry. Reminds me of the 2000's USC era when suddenly they were just mediocre.Clemson is donezo as a top tier program
Have you heard that Dieon Sanders is their HC?Dang I guess we should just skip to the Natty with Colorado winning it all, if you listen to the announcers
