It both left his hand and landed around the 27.
I wonder if they consider it a "tipped" pass at that point... not sure what the rules are on a tipped passI think it did. I've seen this before. They get caught up in his arm motion and nobody looks at the ball.
They also interpret the rule like an arm moving forward can’t have a backward pass when a defender hits the arm/ball, but that’s BS. If the ball goes backwards it should be a fumble/lateral, as long as the ball didn’t leave the hand going forward and then get knocked backwards.
