ASU went for it on third and short, came up a yard short of the 1st down with :06 left in the half. They called a timeout. I have no idea why. They punted the ball and that ran out the clock but that was really dumb. USC had two timeouts left so I don't know why you wouldn't just let time expire there unless USC wanted to call time.
