Week 1 Games Discussion

Is Colorado overhyped? Yes. They’ll prob have 5-6 losses this year. That said, they also probably have the best QB in CFB (at least from NFL talent perspective) and multiple playmakers.

I was bummed to see they have zero offensive line to run-block, because Dallas Hayden was a nice pickup for them. Dallan did make some nice plays but mostly bottled up in backfield in the run game.

It's fun watching their passing attack, even moreso this season with the additions at WR. Sheduer is talented but prone to backtracking and spinning blindly out of the pocket . Deion does him no favors by putting the entire team on his back behind a mediocre OL. And that's the first sign that he's more concerned with his son's stats and draft prospects than the team. It was obvious last season that the offense had no balance, Sheduer got hurt, but you're going with the same formula this year? He doesn't have to be 90%+ of the offense every game to be featured.

They're a worse version of Liberty getting 50x the media coverage and have yet to beat a team with a winning record. If you're going to talk the talk, you can't go 4-8 and then 6-7, especially if you're going to cry about critical coverage. That's asking to be mocked and derided.

I really think Sheduer and Hunter is all they have that makes them somewhat competitive- and it’s been a trend for a few years now. Hunter, while very talented, is going to burn out and/or get hurt trying to be the savior on both the offense and defense. Sheduer looked great and is impressive, but what will he look like after 7-8 games into the season? How much wear and tear is he going to be under after their line gets throttled by better defenses while constantly being asked to bail out the team?

This is a team I expect to be down going into halftime in majority of their games, with the aspirations of just winning. I get the feeling the strategy kind of goes out the window a lot of the time with them because of such poor line play. Bowl eligible, yes, but at what cost and how many losses. Curious to see what Deion does when his boys leave Boulder.

I've seen this team a lot in NCAA Football on Playstation. I've beat them a lot by playing defense and running the ball. A couple stops and/or turnovers and they're playing from even further behind. Sure, throwing lots of touchdowns is fun and leads to a lot of stats, but will lose you games if you don't account for the other 3 phases of the game.

What I don't like about Colorado/Deion (and I'm now in the state, so maybe I see it more) is they talk a lot of fluff without yet walking the walk. At least scUM has some legs to stand on with their bluster. Shut up and let the play do the talking, Deion.

Eh there’s a lot here and I think you highlight why people don’t like his teams.

1. Sanders is not the best QB in CFB. You said it yourself he has his stats padded a lot and they were trying to tack on another late in the game which actually gave the bison a shot to win the game. I’d take quite a few QBs over Sanders to win a game. Is he talented? Oh for sure and he’s a top 5 kid but the best? I don’t think so.

2. I don’t think they have a bunch of play makers. I think they really have 1 with Hunter who the run into the ground every game. Sure Horn has a few nice moments but let’s see Colorado against Utah because I think it’ll go differently for them.

3. Other teams aren’t bringing in 48 transfers a year. Some teams sure will bring in 10-20 but Deion can’t keep many of his players even because I don’t think he’s enjoyable to play for. Their running back from last year should’ve been an easy sell to keep him around but he left.

4. The reason why no one likes them other than Joel Klatt is because they’re fake. They’re a bad football team that’s undisciplined, unbalanced, but yet somehow decides it’s best to flaunt like they’re the 90s hurricanes.

5. My personal reason? I think he doesn’t care about any of these kids not named Sanders, Hunter or Seaton. He has a shot to really mentor but I think he’s too self absorbed to realize that.
You forgot the straight up bullshit that is his press conferences, where he doesn't answer questions if you hurt his precious precious feewings.
