There was a lightning delay, I believe, I don’t know when the actual kickoff was, or when the delay occurred.

Kickoff was before 9 PM ET, about 8:50, and we're after midnight ET. Kickoff was delayed just over an hour, but it's still a 3+ hour game.

It's maddening that the richest soccer league on the planet can play 90 minute games in two hours, and still make a ton of money, but we're so conditioned to "TV time outs" that we can't squeeze 60 minutes into three hours. It's a joke.

Even if football went the soccer route, corporate sponsors on jerseys, etc., the greedy bastards would still have TV time outs because they know their audience has just accepted them as part of the game. We're just used to it.
