There was a crazy HS game in Illinois last night. St. Joseph’s of New Jersey led at Mount Carmel in Chicago 30-0 in the second quarter. Mt. Carmel is coached by former NIU QB and 2013 Heisman finalist Jordan Lynch, and they ran a fake punt from their own territory when down by 30. It started a rally that got them to within 30-28 at the half, and they got a score with about 5 minutes left to win 48-44.

At the FCS level, Cal Poly-SLO hit a TD on 4th and 8 with 9 seconds left to beat Idaho 38-34. I decided to watch that game this morning after recording it last night and it was worth it.

And @Thump, you are correct about Nebraska not losing this week, but they won’t win either.

The old Big West back in the early-mid 90s was the original "makes no sense" conference. Northern Illinois was a part of that too
