Researching the Magic!
A former roommate had a Siamese. Fuck you, Sinatra, you power cord munching food snob. He was a supreme asshole. When another roommate came home with a puppy I had my new best friend. He and his girlfriend made the mistake of leaving Charlie with me while they went out on a date the first night he was in our place, and he was pretty much my dog while I lived there. He would be waiting at the door when I came home from work, and preferred cuddling and playing with me over them. Damnit, I miss my little Charlie.

When we were working we would be greeted at the door by a cat and a dog so happy to see us they would trip us. I appreciate that now even more. We lost our little terrier last November. She was very social and the whole neighborhood loved her. Thank God for the cat right now who has done her best to fill in the hole left bye the little terrier passing. There is no replacing that dog. And I am a cat lover.

My new blue merle Collie pup.. named him Remi since he looks like a painting (Rembrandt).. he'd end up around 80 lbs

Our latest one is a 7 yr old collie... I'm supposed to be dumb enuf to believe we're 'fostering'
Fella has been horribly neglected not abused. 94 yr old lady owner died... Someone dropped it off at vet... Vet called us to help
24X7 left outside or in a crate.. coat was unsalvageable so when we picked him up he was completely shaved head to tip of tail malnourished fella
20 lbs later, lots of dental work and couple more procedures... much to my surprise coat came in a gorgeous sable..
but it's now in the mid stage of growing back and he now looks like a tank with bushy hair...
Expected major issues but only significant one I see is he is panic stricken when a storm occurs... guess he's been in too many left outside
July 4 fireworks probably gonna be a major issue.. but it is for the rest of the pack too...
I knew I was marrying St Frances Assisi clone but did not know she was going to save EVERYTHING

Didn't know where to post this so I figured this was as good a place as any. I'm going to lose my boxer pup on Sunday. He's 10 years old but the last year has been hell for him. He was so healthy until we had an ACL repair and then just noticed he never bounced back.
Hands down the best dog I've ever had so this one is going to sting. Just isn't fair how fast time moves guys. I remember everything about the day we picked him up from Boxer rescue. From the cold temperatures to the ugly little turquoise sweater he had on to keep him warm (fit in the palm of my hand). Just overwhelmed that this moment is here already for my guy.
Anyways, we certainly don't deserve dogs. They make us better.
