I don't think the B1G Championship winner matters TOO much, but I think MSU winning gives us the better shot at #4.
Clemson gets in regardless of the outcome of the ACC Championship, IMO. Unless UNC beats them by 30, they'll either be at undefeated #1 or 1-loss #4.
Oklahoma is in. Period. Could be anywhere from #1-#3, but they're in.
So what we're really banking on here is Florida, the team that just put up 2pts vs Florida State beating Bama.
Could you imagine, though?
I don't think that's the way in.This. I don't see any other way we are going to be getting in the playoff picture.
I don't think that's the way in.
1-loss ACC runner up or 1-loss B1G third place?
Talking head types are already laying the groundwork for Clemson not getting in if they don't beat UNC
That is by far our best odds at a playoff berth (UNC beating Clemson)
My wildly inaccurate assumptions last year seemed logical to me, but we got in and we won. That's all that I would like to see.
UNC beating Clemson sure does theoretically set up some really awesome matchups, however.
#1 Bama v #4 Ohio State
#2 Oklahoma v #3 Michigan State
I agree. With the way we killed #10 Michigan, we'll jump to #6 behind #4 Iowa and #5 Michigan State.
Shit, that'd be a tv advertising wet dream. Rematch between Meyer and Saban. Dantonio and Big Game Bob. All 4 teams are power teams including Okie this year since they've started running the ball.My wildly inaccurate assumptions last year seemed logical to me, but we got in and we won. That's all that I would like to see.

Ohio State vs. Notre Dame in the Rose Bowl please
Especially when you compare who osu lost to and who they may have lost to.I stand by my $ premise until the committee proves it wrong
Given a choice between Clemson and OSU they are taking OSU imo
Now that Notre Dame and Baylor are despatched, a Spartan blow out of Iowa combined with a tight Clemson loss to UNC might do it.
