I can't recall a larger spread on BP.

Report: Carroll says Barkley will start
Freshman signal caller Matt Barkley will be back under center Saturday night when the No. 12 USC Trojans look to rebound against Washington State.
The Los Angeles Times reported Wednesday USC coach Pete Carroll announced after practice Barkley would start in place of redshirt sophomore Aaron Corp. Corp filled in while Barkley sat out USC's loss to the unranked Washington Huskies with a bruised shoulder.
Corp struggled in the loss, throwing an interception and completing 13-of-22 passes for 110 yards. It marked the fourth straight year the Trojans have lost to an unranked team.

So...I'm supposed to believe that a team that is averraging 29 points a game, including an opening game blowout that netted 56 points, will score enough to cover a 45.5 point spread? This isn't Florida, this is USC.
Wazzou is worse than San Jose State. USC should ring up 50 easily. What their defense does will be the decider if they cover IMO.Derek2k3;1548292; said:No way USC covers...With the exception of the SJST game, against tOSU and Wash they have created 11 and 13 points, respectively. Washington State is quite possibly the worst BCS team in the nation. And this includes that entire glom of suck in the bottom half of the ACC. Obviously USC is going to win this one. I?m guessing there will be about 15,000 empty seats for this one as the loyal USC fans can?t be bothered to show up and support their team at night, especially after their annual loss. Of course, given the location, I can?t say as I blame them. When you figure in the cost of the ticket, the car boot, the mace, hot dogs and soda, a pretzel and Kevlar for everybody, you?re talking about three or four thousand dollars! And who is going to pay that to see Washington State? Why not spend half of that and just go get something to eat instead?
