Has anyone else seen the movie yet? The gf and I went and saw it. It's really good in my opinion, most of the just in Cash's life I knew about but there were some things that I didn't know. I know Cash helped with some of the stuff before he passed away, and whats nice is it doesn't make any excuses for anything he has done bad in his life it just puts it out there.

I couldn't imagine what it must have been like to have Cash, Elvis, and Jerry Lee Lewis all hanging out together. You do get to see in some scences where they liked to stir up trouble some.

And Phoenix is great as Cash. He really gets the singing down and does a great job as does Reese.

Ditto.

Phoenix's voice was great.....June Carter wasn't really much of a singer as the film alluded to. I kind of get annoyed with "Jackson" and skip over it on the Ipod.

I am surprised they didn't do "I still miss someone", I am pretty sure he wrote it for June and it was one of his best.

How cool was it that Waylon got some pub.....he's in my avator with RR.

</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - The much-vaunted "Oscar bounce," in which studios use Academy Awards buzz to help sell nominated films on DVD, is paying off for "Walk the Line."
The Johnny Cash biopic sold more than 3 million copies during its first day in stores Tuesday, 25% above the forecasts of its distributor, 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment.
"We're thrilled with this sales velocity and expect all of the activity around the Oscars to further boost sales and awareness this week and well into next," said Steve Feldstein, the studio's senior VP marketing communications. "But truly, it speaks volumes to the strength of the film and consumers' continued love affair with the DVD format."
"Line," whose nominations include acting nods for Joaquin Phoenix and Reese Witherspoon, was one of three Oscar-nominated films to hit DVD the week before Sunday's ceremony. The others are "Pride & Prejudice" and "A History of Violence." Oscar contenders in the pipeline include "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire," on Tuesday; best picture nominees "Good Night, and Good Luck," on March 14, and "Capote," on March 21; "The Squid and the Whale," also March 21; "King Kong" and "Memoirs of a Geisha," on March 28; and "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch & the Wardrobe," on April 4.

I watched this last night. It is a very good movie in my opinion. I like Johnny Cash and I think Joaquin Pheonix did a nice job, and of course Reese Witherspoon is easy on the eyes. I never knew he was an addict so it's nice seeing how he came up and his earlier days. I would recommend this to anyone.

I'm surprised so many of you liked this movie. I haven't seen it, but from everything I've heard, it's more a story about Cash and his wife (love story) than a biography of Cash's life. I haven't heard a good thing about the movie from anyone except here.
