Buck Nasty
You'll have nothing and like it
I posted this in another thread, but it probably belongs here. I also have a problem with the rebuilding as opposed to the reloading, and I think it indirectly is caused by Tresselball. The fact is when the Miami's, Oklahoma's etc. have to reload they put players in the game who have had some experience playing. They get the experience because when Miami, or Oklahoma, or Texas or whoever is playing Rice, or San Jose State or East Bumblefuck, They beat the shit out of them like they are supposed too. Then the Freshman and Sophmores get in and play the whole second half 3,4 or 5 times a year. With Tresselball taking every game to the final whistle, our young players never see the field. It is not as evident on defense because we rotate more players in and out, but on offense our reserves, and third teamers never get to see the field. Now it is their time to come forward and they move straight from the scout team to the starting lineup. They have spent the last 1-2 years mimicking everyone elses offense instead of getting any experience, or consistency with ours.
I also think we have had a drop off on making adjustments. It just does not seem like we are adapting as well as we once did.
Just my opinion, but I actually went to college instead of going back to my high school team, and I was never that smart of a player so I may not have the knowlege of some others.:)
