VJ King (PG Louisville Cardinals)

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Entering the rankings this week is St. Vincent-St. Mary's VJ King. He's in here a little later than expected because he missed most of December with a sprained left wrist.

Now that the injury is long behind him, he's producing like he was expected to. If King is at the top of his game, watch out for the Irish in March.

Scored 29 points in his last outing against St. Joseph's

@insidemdsports: Hearing St. Vincent-St. Mary (Ohio) SF V.J. King, the No. 7 player in the 2016 247Sports Composite, is expected to enroll at Paul VI (Va.).

I wonder why he would transfer from St. Vincent-St. Mary. This is very strange IMO

I agree. By all accounts I'm hearing that PVI was going to have a down year coming up. King would certainly change that but since he's already at a private school the national tournaments and travel that PVI does aren't a benefit that he doesn't already have AFAIK.

That guy might've jumped the gun.
@insidemdsports: After a bit more investigation on V.J. King, sounds like move isn't 100 percent done. Wait and see.
@insidemdsports: On my earlier V.J. King Tweet, sounds like Findlay Prep may be the actual landing spot. Paul VI had apparently been the original plan.
When someone asked why he was transferring, he said he was told for family reasons.

I think our chances of landing VJ just went up immensely with Lebron going to Cleveland. Also, I read on Cleveland.com that his father said that he was not going to be transferring anywhere and that was before Lebron's decision.

Only King is no longer in state. And the chances of Ohio State finding a way to get him in the 2016 class are slim. The Buckeyes would like to add another player in 2016, most likely a guard, if a spot were to come open.

King has taken visits to Virginia, UConn, North Carolina and Kentucky since leaving Ohio. He's got an official visit planned with Louisville next month.

"I'll be cutting the list soon, very soon," King said. "We'll see how I feel."

Even if Ohio State makes the cut. Don't expect that to mean much for the Buckeyes.
Where does Ohio State stand with former St. Vincent-St. Mary star V.J. King? Buckeyes recruiting
