Depends on what you like. I'm a Venetian man myself because I like the "Mega Hotels/Casinos" Forget the intimate crap when I'm in Las Vegas. I want glitz and excess and sensory overload 24/7.
The Venetian is clean and classy to a fault. Never a wait for a table (I play Craps or Pai Gow). Helpful dealers and great Pit Bosses who are quick to make a recommendation or open a new table if play is full.
Two quick Venetian stories:
1. Last trip to Vegas was in October of 2009. I returned to find a $65.00 slot ticket in a the pocket of one of my jeans. I was informed to mail it back with return address and information. I did so, included a personal note and I got a next day air cashiers check for the full amount and a free meal voucher at Zeferinos (GREAT Italian restaurant at Venetian).
2. Was waiting to play craps at a table and a couple of buddies of mine were going to the ATM to get more cash. I don't have any money on the table, so I strike up a conversation with the dealer, stickman, and Pit Boss about the best places to get a steak in Vegas. Opinions differed - but I thanked them all and tipped the guys well (making dealer bets that hit and throwing out "Yo's for the Crew" on come out rolls). I end up probably 80 bucks, nothing to brag about. But while they are coloring up my chips, the dealer hands me back my players card with four slips of paper. They're for free cocktails at the new Ultra Lounge and the drinks run $8-15 bucks a pop. Very generous and nice gesture.
And I got all this as a small fry player nothing but 5's, 10's and 25's on the table for me. Some places just do customer service well.
