Back home, again. Saturday night was crowded but overall it is apparent tourism is down in Sin City. I moved freely most of the time with plenty of room to spare.

Betting? Well, PoSU and scUM gave me another reason to hate them. Sparty and scUM BOTH hit the over in every game this year, so I bet the over. They go under. PoSU and Illinois both hit the under in every game, so I bet the under. They go over. Fuck all of them :pissed:

Fortunately, the Colts and 49ers more than made up for it on Sunday. I can't believe the Colts were only giving Seattle 10 and the Niners only gave up 9.5 to the Rams. I bet more on 2 games than I ever have, and hit paydirt twice. :groove:

Viva Las Vegas!

They're practically begging people to come there so I'm taking them up on their offers. Gonna put some real money on the Buckeyes this Saturday.

Fuck Penn State. Viva Las Vegas!

Flying out tomorrow, having studied as much ATS info as I can stand and ready for some madness. I may check out some hoops, too.

Encore vs. Venetian...any opinions?

I've never stayed at Venetian but I did stay at Encore in March. Got a better deal there than even Harrah's would offer and the Encore is five-star (I've stayed at Harrah's a few times - no comparison).

Elitist

Both are great really, not like I ever stayed at either as I stay at low roller places and gamble at the high roller places. But the best site to get reviews of hotels and such is at tripadvisor.com

If you like in 16 days when I go to Vegas I can break into the rooms there and tell you what they are like :wink2:

Depends on what you like. I'm a Venetian man myself because I like the "Mega Hotels/Casinos" Forget the intimate crap when I'm in Las Vegas. I want glitz and excess and sensory overload 24/7.

The Venetian is clean and classy to a fault. Never a wait for a table (I play Craps or Pai Gow). Helpful dealers and great Pit Bosses who are quick to make a recommendation or open a new table if play is full.

Two quick Venetian stories:

1. Last trip to Vegas was in October of 2009. I returned to find a $65.00 slot ticket in a the pocket of one of my jeans. I was informed to mail it back with return address and information. I did so, included a personal note and I got a next day air cashiers check for the full amount and a free meal voucher at Zeferinos (GREAT Italian restaurant at Venetian).

2. Was waiting to play craps at a table and a couple of buddies of mine were going to the ATM to get more cash. I don't have any money on the table, so I strike up a conversation with the dealer, stickman, and Pit Boss about the best places to get a steak in Vegas. Opinions differed - but I thanked them all and tipped the guys well (making dealer bets that hit and throwing out "Yo's for the Crew" on come out rolls). I end up probably 80 bucks, nothing to brag about. But while they are coloring up my chips, the dealer hands me back my players card with four slips of paper. They're for free cocktails at the new Ultra Lounge and the drinks run $8-15 bucks a pop. Very generous and nice gesture.

And I got all this as a small fry player nothing but 5's, 10's and 25's on the table for me. Some places just do customer service well.

It's that time again, heading to Caesar's for the weekend and looking to do some damage in the sportsbook. Never played much craps but I will hit the blackjack tables in between checking out my game wagers.

No doubt a Manhattan or two will be had at the Shadow bar as well.

Buckeyes have to look like money-good, even with the big number... nothing like financing the weekend and a win for the good guys

Bucks were money in the bank by halftime.

My favorite win, okay second favorite, of the weekend came from the CFL. I had Montreal -4 over Toronto. I saw Montreal won 37-30, but I didn't know how they did it until the next day.

Check this out. You won't see it in the NFL.
