You watch any college football in the last few years? You're not overrated when the game is on the line and you step up and make things happen.

against who?....an already mediocre, injury plagued USC defense?...his stellar performance against michigan....even throw smith and stanton ripped michigan just as badly...maybe against the big 12 his senior year?....arguably the weakest the conference had been in the past decade...or is it just running for TDs against the weakest team in the NFL?

I have said it before and I will say it again.....he will choke and he will choke hard when he becomes exposed....copy and paste it....i don't care.

How about against the best defense in the nation in the loudest stadium he had ever played in? Vince took shot after shot from our D yet never quit. He has guts and deserves some respect.

No problem. It's going to take a pretty awe inspiring performance by VY in the Super Bowl before I'm willing to change my mind. (And, if that happens, I reserve the right to make up a higher standard as I might see fit.)

A bit steep. I will respect the guy once he can...oh i dunno....throw more TDs than interceptions and do it against decent competition instead of the little sisters of the poor. If he can get 4-5 more TDs than ints, finish somewhere in the average ranking of passer rating, live up to just a little bit of his hype, and make it to the playoffs then I will be happy with the guy...until then I am staying off the media induced bandwagon that has been going on since the michigan/texas game.

...which i can't dispute because we handed them the game....musical QBs and dropped TD pass. what did you expect?.....him to fall down hurt and not play anymore?

I would not consider any nfl team the "sister of the poor" otherwise anyone could play qb in the nfl.

Jesus H. Christ! What were the stakes in the games you mentioned and what were the outcomes? And did not Troy (throw, in your post) Smith win the Heisman? Like him or not, Young demonstrated his ability on a very large stage. He has an instinct for getting the ball into the end zone one way or another, just as Troy does, and I'd take either before I'd take that feather duster the Browns picked up and can't sign.

That is touching...what always leads people to believe he deserves all the credit? His stats blow....badly, yet since his teams win he is loved. I dunno, in a little place like reality, that might indicate that he might just be overrated. Smith did win the heisman, but do you see a lovefest going for him as much as VY and do you hear about his NFL future all the time?...he is off the map since the florida game. what significant role has VY played yet?....let's look back on them. VY versus michigan...michigan has a horrid defense vs mobile or even somewhat mobile QBs...it took no genius to figure out that VY would do well against them that year. VY vs OSU...osu is playing musical QBs and drops a winning TD catch. VY vs USC...USC is lacking defense from its previous year and suffering from an absurd amount of injuries....mind you this is the defense that let fresno state hurl 42 on them...VY vs big 12 in 05...tell me one team that was even good that year in the big 12....VY vs texans...its the texans, do i really need to shed light there?

he will be exposed...copy and paste it and then save it and use it against me if you so please to. VY is a media lovefest from a big mobile QB from a storied college program and that is about it. People claim he should of won the heisman and then he robs the ROY award from worthy rookies who had actually earned it.

you know, i honestly never thought that VY was overrated, but then i just read your posts about him and now i can see that clearly you know far more about football than the NFL experts that do this everyday. thanks jeffcat
