Vegas Ideas/Sportsbook Advice

Damn Sparky... I gamble alot and bet sports all the time and you got MY head spinning!!!

Dayton... just keep it simple and you will have fun. And just remember to tip the waitresses and they will make sure you are hydrated enough.

So, where do the whales go if they're laying 7-8 figures on a game?

They dont go to the books, the have to have their host set it up. If you lay 5 mil on a game it gets flagged real quick.

I would look up the story but I am at work and cant search anything containing games or gambling. But it stems from one of the players in college BB letting some guys buy a game from him. When the bettors threw down a couple mil and then (ah Arizona State I think) the team lost outright when they were favored by twenty Vegas noticed and started to investigate.

But anyways, a whale doesnt come to Vegas without the casino knowing first. A whole hotel floor is emptied for him, then they take his bets in advance and then clear the table games he wants to play. A whale basically rents the casino out while he is there. Its their world.

Trip was pretty much insane. I stuck to slots, video poker, black jack and an NFL parlay on Sunday. Only lost a 150 in gambling money. Hit up the Hard Rock, Palms, and just about every major casino on the strip minus Luxor and Mandalay Bay. Lots of drinking and was only thrown out of the breakfast buffet once.

Shit, I just now saw this thread.

I got back from Vegas yesterday morning (red eye...ugh) and for the second year in a row I came home with more money than I left with 3 days earlier. Unfortunately, I've been going to Vegas for the first round of March Madness for several years. Guess I'm a slow learner.

Spent a lot of time at Caesars. Great sportsbook, Pussycat Dolls (yeah, it's what you think) and the Shadow bar. Why go anywhere else?

If you MUST hit a strip club go Olympic Garden or Spearmint Rhino. Anything else is a waste of time and money...or so I've heard. :p
