Currently, the only way to move points out of the bank and into your vPocket, is to ask an administrator to do it manually. Obviously, we'd rather not spend all day moving cash around for folks, but I think we'll do what we can for those that are in a bind. Hopefully Clarity finds a new system/workaround soon or I can imagine the requests for "fund transfer" will begin to mount.

I'll move your banked vCash into your spendable account Buckinghourse. Send me a PM if you need that amount adjusted.

I hear bankers hours are great... annual raises, paid holidays/vacations/sick time, 401K's what are you complaining about? Just make sure your cash drawer total's out at the end of the day..... vTheft isn't tolerated well around here. :wink2:

Much like Office Space, I'm looking to make a tiddy sum off all those fractions of a vCent. No one will notice when they go missing!

vbPlaza is going away. I'm working on converting the money/'points' data it handled over to a new solution now, and am investigating basic and lighter shop, as well as bank options to replace it.

I don't know if existing gifts will survive, obviously that would be ideal. I don't know if username and title modifications will survive, ditto there re: 'ideal'. Current points will, that much I'm sure of so far.

Will explain in greater detail after it's gone -- hopefully by the end of the day, or early tomorrow.

So how come this change is comign about. And what will the new system be? Will we still be able to buy items or is that gone as well?

Change is coming because the old system apparently had some security holes. Not sure what the new system will bring, but judging from Clarity's track record, we'll like what we end up with.

Yeah, small song bird ... I'm all about that. Curse you for revealing my secret.

Q - How much of grad's vCash will go missing in the next day?

A - A tiddy sum.

(insert evil laughter here)

It can't be any worse than when you "rewarded" my donation and made 10 million and some change disappear.

With friends like you....

:)

Because the old software had a security flaw/vulnerability that could have resulted in a malicious user destroying our entire database if they knew exactly how to do it.

Like Windows or any other code, these holes appear over time, and they either have to get patched shut, or you lose the code, or you just risk it and hope nothing happens. We can't just hope, the author seems to have abandoned the project, so we effectively closed the hack down and removed entirely the parts of it that left our danglies hanging out.
