vBook: Where will ND be rated this week?

As much as we hate ND, college football needs a good ND.

Bullshit. Clueless sportswriters and fair-weather "subway alumni" think that's what they need. ND hasn't been relevant since 1993 and college football is thriving.

No college football does not. You think an overrated OU team has fucked up the NC landscape the past 2 years wait untill you see how bad a 1 loss ND team could muddy the water.

A lot of younger guys think the media is on USC, Miami or OU's jock..well you haven't seen shit untill they start to blow the Domers. Its sickening.

ND fans are the bi-polars of the college football world. Each win ushers in the new era of Irish football and each loss sends them jumping from bridges.

...Things are always worse than their hopes and better than their worst fears. When will they accept the fact that they are a 8-4 "mediocre-good" team?

While ND played a fine game...Pittsburgh isn't that great of a triumph (As our great BP top 25 voters already knew). Act like you've freakin' been there before. I hate blatant homerism.

To quote Patches McGee that would be about as useful as a cock flavored lollipop.

Some women may actually like those. But if they could satisfy that taste by having a lollipop, the existence of those lollipops would indeed be counter-productive. :wink2:

So Patches is definitely correct, at least from the perspective of 'hetero' males.

This only reaffirms my belief that women are planning to overthrow the men when we least expect it. They are simply preparing for our absence!

I have always believed that they were planning our demise, while keeping only a few men prisoned to help repopulate. They want a world where toilet seats are glued down, ice skating is a real sport and where TLC is the only television station. I believe Martha Stewart, Rosie O'Donnel and Dr. Phil are leading this movement.........Be prepared.

...and don't even get me started on the Amish.

...I think they are hiding WMD's in their barns. They always have half their family inside working on their nuclear program. That's why, even though every Amish family has like 50 people living in the same house, you only see 3 or 4 outside at a given time.

They want to take over the world.

Well, the poll is out and it proves EXACLTY the point I wanted to make when I started this thread.

Notre Dame was ranked by points 41st in the ESPN poll going into last week. They jumped over every single team from 26 through 40 (except Ga Tech) and every team from the top 25 who lost with the exception of Miami and Oklahoma. In other words, they went as high as they possibly could have gone. All for what? Beating the #25 team in the nation?

Is it bias?

Fresno St was #26 going into week one. They did not play and ND jumped them. They rose FIFTEEN places to jump them.

Minnesota was #32 going into the week. They destroyed Tulsa on the road. Weak team, granted, but they trashed them. Minnies new rank? #32 again.

#30 Wisconsing was favored by less than a TD against a very good BG team - in fact BG was rated #32. They beat them by the same margin as ND beat BC. Their reward? They moved two spots to #28. What is it about NDs win that was so much more impressive that they jumped over a team that had a comparable win and which started the week 11 places ahead of them?

Georgia Tech started the week 12 places ahead of ND, beat the #16 team in the country and finished two places ahead of ND.

TCU played AT Oklahoma - # 5 in the country. Beat them by a TD and they are four spots behind the mighty Irish.

I hate Notre Dame. Let's go Blue!
