vBet: Will the Colts Go Undefeated

Whaddaya think? And do you want them to go undefeated? Can we get a vBet going on this?

I'm rooting for them. They're my second favorite team. Ironically, they're the team I kinda followed when the Browns left town. I think they can do it - the game at Seattle will be tough though.

I think that San Diego will be an awfully tough game, too, and it's never easy to beat Jacksonville on the road (but with Leftwich out, it shouldn't be too difficult). I think that they can do it if Dungy lets his players play all the games. I've heard that once they clinch home-field that Dungy may sit his players. Which I hope is untrue because I'm sick and tired of watching Shula and his old Dolphins celebrating everytime an undefeated team falls.

they will have to sit the starters when (if) they clinch home-field. If they didn't, imagine the uproar in Indy if Manning or James, or Freeny(?) go down in a "meaningless" game. The super-bowl is the goal.

that being said...depending on how early they clinch, going undefeated with 3 or more pro bowlers on the bench is a tall order.

Doubt they do it.

Rhodes could be a pretty serviceable replacement at RB, other than that, no they can't win with backups. Congrats on going undefeated in a much easier era, when you could stack up tons of talent (which is what Indy needs for those last few meaningless games).

Going undefeated is fun for headlines, but useless. Nobody is going to admire Peyton for going undefeated and failing to win the superbowl (especially if someone gets injured, and someone will that late in the year, even if its only a minor injury).

I don't buy that "sitting your players" garbage. Peyton Manning has started every game of his career. Edgerrin James is pretty tough. Run them out there and let them do their thing. What's to say that an undefeated regular season and winning the Super Bowl are mutually exclusive? You could bench those guys and they could still cut themselves slicing tomatoes or something and you're still SOL. Let 'em play if you have a shot to make history.

Amen! Sitting players for entire games at the end of the season is one of the worst things a coach can do in my opinion. Sure, cut their playing time. Sure, pull Manning midway through the third quarter and split time between James and Rhodes, but you shouldn't sit players for weeks. The Eagles tried that last year and look how inefficient McNabb and the rest of the offense looked in the last 8 minutes of the Super Bowl.

You're just pissed b/c it messes up Fantasy Football rosters.

BTW I say no way does Indy go undefeated.
