Vanderbilt 34, Miami, OH 13 (Final)

On a more serious note, while possibly meaningless, most of the country won't have seen the game - or remember it :tongue2: - but they will have seen the score and the SC shut out of NC St. And while you can tell everyone how NC State sucks and the Hawks suck, seeing those type of scores in the paper will in fact be in the back of voter's minds when they consider the strength of conference arguments in their polls.

Thing is, a big win over the ACC and a Vandy win when they lost 5 linemen will be noticed. Today the SEC took care of 'bidness.

I hope the Big-10 wins all of its OOC games early this year. It something that has to happen to counter the negative stupidity that the press has created.

Can someone explain why Vanderbilt gets a caviar enema from SEC fans when they beat a MAC team, but OSU gets shit on for the same? Yes, I recognize that Vanderbilt couldn't carry OSU's jock, so any win is big for them, but this is ridiculous. I fully expect the same bullshit when OSU and LSU hammer Troy.

Hey, give Vandy a break here. It ain't their fault Miami laid an egg and it's not like their fans get many chances to get ugly.

Personally, I'd like to see OSU have the decency to schedule Vandy in lieu of YSU. They'd have taken home more money playing in the shoe than they did on the road at Yeager and we wouldn't be taking sarcasm from the media for scheduling a div 3 school.

Every SEC team could lose practically every major or mid-major non-conference game they play in for the next 3 years, and the media outlets will still put the SEC at the top of SOS rankings.

I say three years because the line of media types waiting to fellate the SEC's manhood would take about that long to clear up before everyone got their turn.

I dunno.

Probably for the same reason that there are 32 bets on Miami to beat Vandy on here - naked regional homerism?

Wait, so the SEC shuts out an NC State team starting a red shirt freshmen at QB in the first game of the season, who gets carted off the field on a bread board in the first half after getting kneed in the head and we are supposed to be impressed?

This an NC State team who got shut out in their last game in 2007...nicely done Vandy, what a solid OOC win against the ACC.

In other news, SC might actually have their hands full with Vandy if Spurrier starts his "starting QB" again, that guy was deer in headlights terrible. If NC State had any offense at all (again, playing second string QB) they could have capitalized on the FOUR interceptions thrown.
