I heard a rumor that if they bring back rockstar next year that it might be van halen looking for a new lead singer.

Well, you never know. Maybe not soon, but look at the Eagles and Cream. They hated each other for a very long time, but they got so old and so desperate for attention (and money) that they got back together.

Granted, it was when each member of the band was pushing 60, but they did get back together ..

Speaking of Van Halen, I was out at the bars here a few weeks ago, and I met a girl who was celebrating her 21st Birthday. I said, "21, huh? Spare me the math and tell me what year you were born in .."

She replies with, "1984." And then it hit me .. the old age feeling ..

I said, "Do you realize I remember buying Van Halen: 1984 when it came out on record??"

Yeah, but that's half of a shitload of money which should be more than enough to land a different model for every month of his life. If he gets down to his last $10 million and decides he needs two models a months he can just issue another greatest hits with a special "unreleased track".

I'm with you. The first thing that I thought when I read this wasn't "Wow, they're getting divorced", it was "Holy shit, Eddie Van Halen is 50?"

It would easily be the biggest rock reunion tour of all time, they'd sell out every arena across the country, and he'd probably double his net worth on that alone.

You apparently havent seen Dave lately. You think Eddie looks old? Dave looks like he's about 70......and cant sing for shit anymore. Saw he and Sammy when they went on tour, and Dave was awful. Awful is the kindest word I can think of. Sammy is still the shit, and Halen will be much more successfull with him rather than Dave. - Not tryin to pick a fight, just stating the obvious.
