This kid is legit, would love to land him. Only part I don't like is that would basically confirm we are out on McNutt, but that one was looking bleak already if we're being honest with ourselves.

Ignoring where Oregon now calls home as a conference, there's also the Rod Moore aspect to beating Michigan for this guy. He was a known quantity as a good but "not elite" prospect. Now Messiah doesn't come built in with magical Ohio powers, but it's a relevant victory nonetheless.

Plus there's no sign of stopping Nike's recruiting prowess anytime soon. Not the same for Sherrone's.

I know we all want McNutt but I really don't think this is a huge "downgrade". It's not like we are getting burnt at the last minute and going fishing for random 3*s to fill the spot. Delhomme is a heck of a prospect in his own right.

What did we learn about this years team with all those great players returning?? They love The Buckeyes! I would rather have a four star that wants to be a Buckeye compare to one five star who does not. Go Bucks!

Well said, I would love to land this kid. McNutt was high up on my wishlist but I mostly brought him up to say if we take Delhomme, then it pretty much cements the fact that McNutt is not coming here. But getting to your point, Delhomme would be far from a consolation prize.
