UT-Arlington at Ohio State, Friday, 7 PM, ESPN3

LitlBuck

Kevin Warren is an ass
The Mavericks from UT-Arlington come calling tonight just in case anyone cares. I am sure that the Schott will be packed to the rafters for this glorified scrimmage.

Breaking down the Mavericks: UT-Arlington blew a 10-point halftime lead and lost to Louisiana Tech, 80-68 on Tuesday night ... Sophomore guard Erick Neal scored a career-high 23 points and matched a career high with 7 assists in the loss ... Sophomore forward Kevin Hervey, who scored 10 points on Tuesday, is the only player to reach double figures in both games ... The Mavericks opened the season with a win over 77-72 win over Fordham ... The Mavericks are 75-56 since the start of the 2010-11 season ... UT-Arlington is No. 215 out of 351 in Ken Pomeroy's ratings, which use advance stats to rank every team in college basketball ... This game is part of the College Basketball Hall of Fame Invitational, which also includes Louisiana Tech, Grambling State and Memphis.

Yuck. Offense is stagnant, defense is slow (lazy?), rebounding and free throws are fucking dreadful.

It's going to be long, long season barring major improvement.

Should be a big wake-up call for the players. Time to understand you're not good enough the way you are, you need to improve on your weaknesses or this team is going to be mediocre. Horrible FT shooting, a lack of execution offensively, tentative play, being outrebounded by a smaller team and allowing 2nd and 3rd opportunities many times.

Free Throws: 13-27, 48.1% and a few were on the front end of the 1 and 1.

Re: The string of 11-consecutive seasons with 20 or more wins is one of many incredible accomplishments charted during the Matta era at Ohio State.

Just sayin'; Matta's 20 game consecutive season win streak is in serious jeopardy this season.

18 offensive rebounds allowed, 13-27 from the free throw line. :slappy:

And they've given away a bunch of free points, too.....really bad turnovers at the top of the key leading to easy buckets, technical foul.....

I dunno.....where on earth were Loving and KBD in the 2nd half? Just invisible.
